Kim (Hamby) Norris October 12,1961 August 17,2003
Funeral services for Kimberley Hamby Norris, 41, Macon, Georgia will be Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Burial will be at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery with Chuck Ferrell officiating.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 19, 2003 from 6-8 p.m., at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Norris, who passed away at her residence in Macon, Ga, on August 17th after a courageous battle with breast cancer, was born October 12, 1961 in Ocala, Florida.
Mrs. Norris was a longtime resident of Opelika, graduating from Opelika High School in 1980. She received her degree in cosmetology from Southern Union Community College.
Mrs. Norris moved to Amelia Island, Florida with her husband in 1999 where she was office manager of Magna's Salon and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She had lived in Macon with her husband since October 2002. She was an avid supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer where she participated in several fund raising events with her twin sister. Most recent event was a local area race in Macon where the twin sisters stole the show with their charismatic desire to stamp out breast cancer for good.
Mrs. Norris is survived by her husband, Ronnie Norris, Macon, Ga; two sons, Matt Coleman, Beauregard, Adam Royal, Auburn, her parents; Kathie and Barney Harding, Huntsville and Emmet Hamby, Conyers, GA; grandson, Tyler Coleman, Beauregard, twin sister Karen Hamby, Opelika; brother, Jon Hamby, Lawrenceville, GA.
She is also survived by three stepchildren, Ronnie Norris, Smiths, Tonya Norris, Auburn, Melissa Norris, Opelika, two step grandchildren, Justin Norgard, Opelika and Ayden Norris, Smiths, host of family and friends, one special cat "Lucky" and a dear sister-in-law, Sarah Henderson, Headland, AL.
Flowers will be accepted for memorial donations may be directed to Give Kids the World Foundation, 210 South Bass Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746.

Funeral services for William Eugene "Bubba" Cotton, 43, of Opelika, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 13, 2006 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Hagan officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Mr. Cotton was born March 18, 1962 in Opelika. He died unexpectedly Friday at Talladega as the result of a work-related accident. He was a Baptist by faith and was a graduate of Opelika High School.
Survivors include his two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica Cotton of Opelika; parents, Gene and Doris (Guinn) Cotton of Opelika; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Guinn of Opelika; three sisters, Kandi (Tommy) Tatum of Auburn, Telatha (Jim) Trawick of Opelika, Kellie Carter of Crossville, TN; mother of his two children, Patsy Cotton of Opelika; special cousin, Randy Wheeler and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Thomas Dale Collins, 44 of Opelika will be Wednesday, November 15, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Opelika with Reverend Steve Scoggins and Dr. Perry Fowler (Parkway Baptist) officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Fredericks Funeral Home. Mr. Collins was born April 7, 1962 in Montgomery, AL and died November 11, 2006 in Phenix City, AL. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1980-1984. He attended First Baptist Church of Opelika and was a former member of Opelika Civitan Club. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by a nephew, Daniel Collins. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Collins; parents, Raymond and Betty Collins; two step sons, Aaron Spraggins and Jonathan Spraggins; two brothers, Mike (Frances) Collins, Scott (Joselyn) Collins; sister-in-law, Lisa (Tony) McCarty; nephew, Trent McCarty; five nieces, Laura, Lisa, Lindsey, Leah Collins and Paige McCarty; one great niece, Emma Childs.
